Title: Scars
Summary:
A Scar is your skin's way repairing itself from injury. Scars are part of life and show what you've been through. Warriors use to show off their scars as symbols of their bravery. Scars are just wounds that have healed themselves. The skin made a bunch of Collagen-tough, white protein fibers that act like bridges-to dry, temporary crust formed over the wound. A scab's job is to protect the wound as skin heals. You can prevent scars by covering wounds to keep it away from germs and bacteria. You can also try to prevent scars by eating things like oranges. The vitamin C helps speed up the production of new skin cells. Doctors will also recommend that you rub vitamin E oil over your wound. This is to reduce the visibility and size of your scar. Some scars fade away with time but in the event that they do not, there are many prescription and over the counter medicines and creams that you can use. I think this information is helpful because being a girl, I appreciate the new knowledge on how to reduce the visibility of scars on my skin.
