A 47 year old man died from a severe nosebleed. The lining of the nose contains tiny blood vessels that can rupture when dry or irritated. the bleeding was so severe that he went to a local medical center. After the bleeding stopped, the doctors told him to go home and put ice on his nose. But he was found dead hours later. The blood blocked his airways which caused him to suffocate.
It's scary to think that a simple change in weather could kill you. So if you have long nose bleeds that don't stop after a few minutes of pressure make sure to see a doctor.
