The Affects of Ketamine
Ketamine is a drug that is used in human and veterinary medicine. Although it is a potent anesthetic, many people use it as a recreational drug, and often is a substitute for cocaine as it is believed to be less harmful, although these assumptions are incorrect. Short term Ketamine use causes blurred vision, vivid dreams, dysphasia, dilirium, tachycardia, hypersalivation, nausea, illusions, hallucinations, etc. One of the most serious, although not rare, long term affects is bladder/urinary tract infections. It can cause serious degradation of the bladder, sometimes so severe that you may urinate blood (hemoturia.) Some people have reported having to urinate hundreds of times a day, only to find out that, because of their Ketamine addiction, they have completely destroyed their bladders beyond repair.
