Vampires eat and metabolize energy, the brain manages all cognitive function, the nervous system translates pain and pleasure. But you were probably wondering more about the “extra” things vampires can do which humans can’t. The anatomy of a vampire is very different to humans. Vampires are stronger, faster, and smarter and have highly attuned senses with sight, smell & hearing. Also many vampires are telepathic, with an ability to read minds and communicate thoughts to others telepathically. Plus they do not age. How awesome!
Vampires still feel pain, and cannot handle too much or they will die just as humans do. Vampires feel the same sting of a bullet that any human would, and will bleed just the same. This goes for falling, fire, being stabbed, being hit, and so on. The difference is that vampires heal faster. A vampire can heal the standard 9mm handgun wound in about twelve hours or in 30 seconds if they feed. When a vampire feeds, they convert the blood to speed up cell regrowth. Some wounds Vampires cannot heal from feeding. Wounds caused by Fire, Silver, or decapitation cannot be healed. Silver and Decapitation will instantly kill a vampire. Fire, if not put out, will kill them instantly. Otherwise, it will take anywhere from 1-6 days to fully recover.
Vampires have different bodies so that they cannot digest food or water. Any attempt to do so will end up with them violently vomiting. Vampires can only take in blood, from any animal or human. When a vampire feeds, it is not sent through the digestive system, but to their veins instead. Some of the blood is ingested daily; the rest of it is used to allow the vampire to use their abilities. A vampire who uses too many abilities will grow hungry, and if they do not eat soon, they will die or go insane. Eating or drinking provides no benefit for vampires.
Vampires still think, and react as humans do. A gun scares a vampire just the same as it does a human. Vampires are not invincible, and they know it. They cannot live from being hit by bullets, and that is a fact. They also know that they must fake the fear sometimes to protect their society. Heights, guns, blades, bombs, animals, and so on, can harm a vampire, and could scare them. Garlic, running water, holy relics, have no effect on a vampire.
Vampires can spread their vampireness. Vampires do not age. In order to add any form of aging to them, they must spent money on plastic surgery, implants, or whatever. A vampire is locked in the facial appearance he had when he turned into a vampire. Imperfections are healed when turned over, you will always be the age you were when you became a vampire. The fangs a vampire shows look like canine teeth. The reason is because they come from the first vampire and werewolf who were brothers. So they took a common trait between the two.
