Your lungs make up one of the largest organs in your body, and they work with your respitory system to allow you to take in fresh air, get rid of stale air, and talk. the left lung is a little smaller than the one on the right. The size of the left lung allows more room for your heart. Your lungs are protected by your ribs which are connected to your spine and go around your lungs. Your lungs even work with your brain to help you inhale and exhale a larger amount of air at a more rapid rate when you're running a mile. The lungs are vital to keeping us alive and to learn more about the way they work is very intriging. When a person inhales and exhales they should be thankful that their lungs work properly, I know I am!
